Hi Folks - Welcome To My Website
I have loved music for as long as I can remember.
Older friends and relatives jokingly remind me of my antics as a four year old who seemed to know all the lyrics to party songs. Whilst singing at the drop of a hat, I would accompany myself by marching up and down, and playing whatever passed for a drum at that time.
At the age of about 11 I was delighted when my parents bought my first accordion and sent me to lessons. Like a duck to water I enjoyed every lesson and when my teacher took ill I was flung in at the deep end playing for the Scottish Country Dancers in the Church Hall.
Soon after that I became a member of Airdrie Argyll Accordion Band and was given a good grounding in marches.
As a serving soldier I took my accordion to Germany and Belfast and entertained at various venues both home and abroad.
On leaving the Army I formed a trio called Top Secret and worked in the Club Circuit for many years, then lost the drummer and worked as a duo and eventually went solo. In between times I progressed from Electronic accordion to keyboards.
I suppose my career as a Loyalist Singer escalated when I started in the Glaswegian Bar. This was to be followed by The Louden, The Bristol, Huttons then Binghams, The Edmiston Club, The wee Rangers Club and many other venues in and around Glasgow.
Further afield brought venues such as Inverness, Aberdeen, Dundee, Stirling., Fife, Edinburgh , Renfrewshire and Ayrshire , not forgetting Lisburn. Also The Jersey Loyal, Blackpool , and last year, Derby.
This year I had a great time at the Brittania Loyal in Southend and the Derry Club in Liverpool. December took me to Croydon for a great night with the Surrey True Blues, then I have Corby to look forward to in January. My apologies to anyone I’ve missed in this short list but I would be here all night trying to recall them all………
